Monitoring the potential escape of CO2 from geological reservoirs to the surface will be required of the CCS industry and involves extremely cost-intensive seismic and surface emissions measurements.
A powerful modeling tool to understand, simulate, and support monitoring activities with high-quality surface emission risk scenarios can considerably optimise monitoring efforts. It has prompted us at IGI to design an R&D project to develop a novel subsurface CO2 migration modelling tool in collaboration with academia, the CO2MIG Joint Industry Project.
The project is open to industry partners who may want to join us in this exciting industry-focussed research project. More information in the project brochure and from Marianne@igiltd.com.
