Dear users, we’re delighted to announce version 2.3 of both p:IGI+ and Metis is now available.
The full release notes can be found here: Full-Release-Notes-2_3.pdf, here we summarise the highlights.
Auto-artefacts: far greater control is possible over auto-graphs, and it is now possible to have auto-palettes, pages, rule sets, statistics, maps, sample sets and more! You can add your own at both user and company level. This change offers so many possibilities we will produce a separate technical summary for this feature.
There are also several new auto-graphs, palettes etc, shipped with 2.3.
Uncertainty support: we have added the ability to return and store uncertainty from the machine learning tools. This can be shown on graphs and visual query.
Palettes: we now offer a range of autofill options for colour palettes and have made is a lot simpler to define the transparency for all entries.
Maps: we have added the ability to include (and georeference) an image as a background for a map.
Graphs: we have added support for showing error bars on scatter, depth, and multi-track depth plots. Initially this will be most relevant to showing the variability of vitrinite reflectance data. We have also improved the ability to set the exact size of the graph area to make it easier to copy identically sized graphs, including a new option to copy just the graph without the legends.
Overlays: you can now rotate ellipses and rectangles. Text rotation remains consistent no matter what aspect ratio is used for the graph.
User interaction: both key column and visual query settings can be saved as user settings. Visual query will display information about uncertainty and allow you to assign values to brushed samples.
Property model: we've added a comprehensive PVT model, with associated auto-graphs. We have also added support for storing routine core analysis data, and a comprehensive XRF model for inorganic geochemistry, along with other changes to support the management and interpretation of data relevant to carbon storage.
Search: a new 'quick search' criterion is the default and simpler starting point for finding data in Metis. You can still use the advanced search and map base query.
PVT: we’ve added support for uploading PVT data, for example ProdML files, to Metis and retrieving these. We've also updated the PVT property model, and geochemically relevant information is automatically extracted from ProdML files and added to the main Metis database, for exploration in p:IGI+. Further information about our collaboration with Calsep in the PVT space can be found here.
Transform Online: provides a single location for the tools that data loaders and managers need.
