IGI are pleased to announce that in cooperation with the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) our commercial geochemical databases for the Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea are now publicly and freely available.
After releasing the Norwegian North Sea section through Metis Discover in early 2021, we have now added an additional 59,922 samples from 345 wells for the Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea, generating a geochemical database covering the entire Norwegian Continental Shelf (NOCS). The full database now contains geochemical data for over 120,200 samples from 1,175 wells. The Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea databases are up to date with data released to the end of 2019, but just like the North Sea database, they will be regularly updated for the coming years.
It can be accessed via IGI’s webpage, the NPD FactPages, or directly here. Registration is simple and free of charge, and need only be done on first use.
